NINETOES VS. FRANKENSTEIN (trailer)

We all got to see the teaser for NETFLIX’s Guillermo del Toro FRANKENSTEIN production. So what does Ninetoes think of it?

Hey there, movie lovers! It is your old pal, Ninetoes, coming to you from Ninetoes HQ, and I have a review of a preview? Yes, it is Sunday morning at around10a.m. and the first thing to come up in my feed is a preview twelve hours old; Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. I have popcorn in my system and my thinking cap on, so let’s get to it!

Full disclosure: I am a Frankenstein fan. It was the first Universal Monster movie I saw when I was a kid, on a Saturday afternoon movie on television. In the basement. By myself. Yes, it did lend to my distrust of basements; my six-year-old mind equated all of those monsters down there.

So when I heard that there was another movie in the works, part of me was trepidatious. Would someone get it right? Kenneth Branagh came really close when he did his version. I want something closer…

…and from the looks of the preview, I might finally get my wish!

The preview features Oscar Isaac (Victor Frankenstein), Mia Goth (Elizabeth), and Jacob Elordi (The Monster), and it is beautiful to behold! The Preview is 2 minutes 23 seconds long and is packed with glorious visuals, tremendous acting, and stunning sets, as only Guillermo del Toro can do.

I am beyond excited to see what del Toro can do. He is the visionary behind several of my favorite movies: Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, Blade II, Mimic, Pacific Rim, and The Shape of Water.

I will see you again on this when the movie premieres in November.

Happy Viewing.
