Spooky Soulmates Part 2

Liz Ramos, under the supervision of Anubis the cat, continues aiding you to plan your never-ending nuptial ceremony…

Greetings witches! Your favorite event planning witch has been keeping the party poltergeists focused on your ceremony planning! Are you ready to see what they came up with?

First up is the burnable boo-quet. Now, I’m not going to lie, I was pretty jealous after my wedding when these arrived on the wedding scene. These are bouquets that have sage, palo santo, florals, crystals, and sometimes manifestations written/rolled up and tied with ribbon. They are to be used in the ceremony and photos, and then at the reception, you burn them and let the smoke waft through the party, releasing the old and welcoming the new. Now, I should not have to say this, but for safety, please remove all crystals or any attachments that could explode when heated in extreme temperatures… you do not need an ER visit from a crystal shard taking an eye out! Many Etsy creators can be commissioned to make these, or you could work with your local florist to create your perfect green witch creation.

Next, finding the perfect signature accent pieces can be exhausting. For my spooky/alt folks, I highly recommend visiting the antique stores or the oddities expos. You never know what you’ll find! I actually just picked up some amazing perfumes/perfume oils in Salem that are some of the best smelling scents I have ever smelled. And the black gem covered bottle packaging is *chefs kiss*! HUGE shout out to ATS Custom Oddities for making these and The Wicked Wardrobe for carrying these! I will definitely be ordering more! My favorite so far is the Lilith perfume, but I seriously love all of them!! I also picked up a Hekate rosary. Other pieces that would be absolutely spooktacular include crystal, bone, insect, or floral jewelry.

Lastly (and honestly most importantly, your vows. Now, this is something that is going to be unique to you and your partner, and I have to disclaim that my own vows were absolutely horrendous (I wanted our minister to do the vows, and he sprung last minute for us to write our own. My husband was prepared and had been planning for over a year. I severely underestimated his preparation and I made him go first… to my detriment. Everything I came up with went out the window, and I ended up babbling some absolute nonsense that ended being a long-winded equivalent of “samesies”. He finds this absolutely hilarious as I am usually eloquent and can speak on the fly). Whether you choose to have traditional vows, recite cinematic masterpieces like The Corpse Bride, or write your own, make sure to put your whole heart in them. Brownie points if you get your vows put onto a unique gift for them for the first Christmas/Valentines Day/Anniversary.

However you celebrate your special day, may it be as magical as you are. Blessed be witches!
