Hey there, book lovers! It’s your old pal, Ninetoes, coming to you from Ninetoes Loves Books Headquarters. Today, I am looking at Batman of Two Worlds. I have coffee in my system and my thinking cap on, so let’s get to it!

Saturday, September 19, 2026, was Batman Day. So, like every BATFAN out there, I made my way to my comic shop and got some Bat-goodies. One of the things I made sure I picked up was the one-off that was done just for that day, Batman of Two Worlds. This features the current-era Batman by the Fraction/Jiminez team and the Absolute Batman by the Snyder/Derington team. The most important thing you need to know about this book is that it is not a team-up book! If you are looking for both characters working for the same goal, you will be disappointed.

What this book has is both Batman characters in a very short story each. We are just getting a taste of each character in art and writing. Although I am not entirely certain, I think it might be a taste of previously published comics. I have not yet had the pleasure of reading the Fraction/Jiminez Batman yet (I like to get my stories in graphic novel format), but I have read the first volume of Absolute Batman and the anniversary issue of that book, and when I read this story, it felt like I had already read it. I am looking into this to make sure, but something felt very familiar about this part of the book.

Now, I cannot tell you how to spend your money, but when I looked into the book on Amazon yesterday (09/21/2026), it was $2.99. When I looked into it this morning (09/22/2026), it was $39.00. I love Batman, but not that much for such a little book! It is not even the size of a standard comic book in terms of pages. Both stories are short, blink-and-you-miss-it short, and barely worth the $2.99 I paid.

This is very much a case of buyer beware. If you really love Batman and absolutely NEED this book to make your life complete, then by all means, get it. Otherwise, you really are not missing much.
