Hello friends, welcome back to Horrorscopes! Your monthly dose of astrology meets the made-up thing that isn’t hiding in your closet. (Probably.) August brings the Perseid meteor shower, the countdown to the first day of school, tomatoes producing faster than anyone can actually eat them, and the kind of heat that makes 11p.m. feel like the only livable hour. This month is looking pretty good; minus a few warnings the stars insisted on including.

Aries (March 21 to April 19)

August asks you to slow down just enough to actually finish something before starting the next thing. Career conversations go your way once you stop assuming everyone else is moving too slowly. A friend’s advice turns out to be worth more than it sounded like at the time. By the middle of the month, an old argument resurfaces, and it deserves a calmer version of you than the one who started it. Not every closed door needs to be kicked back open. Some of them were shut from the other side of the veil for a reason.
