NINETOES VS. ASSASSIN’S CREED BLACK FLAG RESYNCHED

Hey there, gamers! It is your old pal, Ninetoes, coming to you from Ninetoes HQ with a look at Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynched. I have my controller in hand, and my thinking cap on, so let’s get to it!

Okay, we have all seen the hype over the past couple of months. What was a rumor quickly became reality with a release date, and that day is NOW (the heavens opened, the angels sang, the demons wept… you get the idea).

First, I want to talk numbers in terms of the size of the original game compared to the updated version. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was released on October 13, 2013, and quickly became one of the best games in the franchise. Its original file size was close to 30 GB. The remade version, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced came out on July 9, 2026, and its file size is 64 GB, double the size of the original. The last time I saw a jump like that in a remake was with CAPCOM’S Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

A lot of love went into the remake of ACBFR, and it shows. Now, for the most part, all of the Abstergo part of the game is taken out. It begins with a kind of Abstergo Animus reference, but then you get right into the game…and it is gorgeous! You are launched into a sea battle, and the mechanics are the same as the original game and every AC game afterwards. If you know the controller scheme from the original, you know what to do. IF this is your first ASSASSIN’S CREED game, the tutorial is simple.

When you wash up on the beach, the first thing you see is a turtle, and he is absolutely beautiful! My wife asked what movie I was watching!

Now, I am hopeful that you did not play the original Black Flag game in anticipation of the remake, because the overall combat has changed. If anything, the combat is the same as Assassin’s Creed Shadows. (If you did not get that game… shame on you!)

The graphics in this game are stunning. There is no other way to say it. They are so gorgeous that I managed to capture a screenshot of a synchronization of Havana, and I have it set as my XBOX background. A lot of time, love, and attention went into these graphics.

So, at this point, I want to give you a Ninetoes Pro Tip…do not rush from mission to mission in this game. Take time to stop and smell the roses, so to speak. There is so much to look at and enjoy. Yes, there are some mini-games in this one, and they are very much worth doing if, for nothing else, you get to see more of the graphic ability in this game.

Is this game worth the money (I got the deluxe edition)? Yes!

Would I recommend it to my friends? Yes!

Does it have a good replay value? Yes!

One final thing…do not watch any YouTube videos on the best way to play. There is only one way to play, and it is YOUR WAY!
