Hey there, book lovers! It’s your old pal, Ninetoes, coming to you from Ninetoes Loves Books Headquarters. Today, I am looking at Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong. I have coffee in my system and my thinking cap on, so let’s get to it!

What could be better than a superhero/kaiju crossover? Exactly!

With this book, we get them all. Just about every superhero (and supervillain now that I think about it) goes up against every kind of kaiju imaginable, including the fan favorites, Godzilla and King Kong! This is a battle for the ages that takes place in several iconic DC Comics locations: Metropolis, Themyscira and Atlantis, just to name a few.

The League of Supervillains have wanted to crush the Justice League for as long as they can remember. Theuy get their hands on an artifact that transports them to Skull Island. Faster than you can say “I have an idea!”, they unleash every kind of kaiju imaginable upon our favorite heroes, not concidering the extent of the damage that it would involve. I mean, really guys, would you want to rule the world after a series of behemoths destroy it! You guys need to work on some impulse control!

The battles break down like this:

Superman vs. Godzilla, Wonder Woman vs. Behemoth, Green Lantern vs. Scylla, Batman vs. Camazotz, and Supergirl vs. Kong. Which heroes get knocked out first? And how will the rest deal with the fallout? Can the earth survive? Questions, questions, questions, and some exciting answers to follow!

I have to say, this is a fun read! Seriously, the words flowed, but after a while I just got lost in the art, and let me tell you, the art (provided by Christian Duce) is superb! The action jumps off the page, and there was a point I was worried I was going to be flash fried by Godzilla’s atomic breath! THEN I almost got stomped by Kong’s foot!

Speaking of Kong, one of my favorite villains, Gorilla Grodd, meets Kong and the results are everything I could dream of. (I have a thing for apes. Ever since I saw King Kong as a kid I’ve been hooked!) Yes, for the record, when it comes to Godzilla v Kong, I am Team Kong! ALWAYS Team Kong! I have seen every Kong movie available…multiple times!

This book is a must have for any kaiju fan and any Justice leage fan. Do not miss this one!
