Hey there, book lovers! It’s your old pal, Ninetoes, coming to you from Ninetoes Loves Books Headquarters. Today, I am looking at Star Wars: Vader’s Castle. I have coffee in my system and my thinking cap on, so let’s get to it!

Okay, the first thing to keep in mind if you get this book is that it is heavy. Physically heavy. It weighs 4 1/2 pounds. Sure, that sounds light until you try to hold it in your hands for a while. The next thing is that it is oversized: the dimensions are 8.27 x 1.32 x 12.4 inches. The paper is a heavy stock with an almost glossy quality.

This is the complete run of Vader’s Castle. As an extra, this book includes the only reprinting of Shadow of Vader’s Castle. All of the stories in this book are on the dark side, both in terms of The Force and in horrific content, so this may not necessarily be a book for the younglings.

Within these pages, you will encounter some familiar faces: Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress, Jabba the Hutt, and so many more! You will also encounter stormtroopers who have no soul, alien witches, possessed droids, were-Wookies, Dagobah swamp monsters, and other various ghouls.

The writing in this book is excellent. There is a consistent quality throughout the entire book. I cannot think of a single story that lagged or fell short.

The art differs from story to story. Some art appears to be computer-generated. Not AI, but done on a computer. The lines are too sharp, and the shading is not done by hand. You will see what I mean if you get this book.

Did I like this book? Of course!

Would I recommend it to my friends? DEfinitely!

Is it worth the price? In my honest opinion, yes!

This book is perfect for the Star Wars fan who wants to take a trip on the Dark Side!
