Greetings witches! In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, let’s set the magical mood and dive into some more intimate manifestations. Sex magic is exactly what it sounds like – using sacred and intimate actions to initiate a desired outcome.

Why sex magic? It is a sacred, vulnerable, raw time where emotions, energy, and intentions run high. It is a concentrated act with time and attention dedicated to the action – just like we do in our romantic and sexual relationships. Speaking of magic in terms of a relationship, we call upon the universal energies and manipulate them to our wills for desired outcomes – just as we do with our partners (or selves, which also works for sex magic). Because sex magic is high energy, while it can be utilized for minor spellwork, this type of magic is better suited if you are trying to manifest larger results. Money, material items, protection, love – whatever you are trying to manifest, it can be done this way.

So how does one use this magic? Whether alone or with a partner, there is going to be an exchange of energy. If you work with deities, you may petition and offer your orgasm as an offering (which can even be heightened, a sign that the deity or universe is in fact accepting your offering). When working to an orgasm, there is a buildup of energy – so this is where you will need to focus your energy, intentions, and desires mentally while performing the more physical aspects of the work. No matter how you choose the physical, the mental focus and energy to the manifestation is what is important. When it is time to orgasm, release your mind and trust the universe has it and will use the energy to make your creation. With this in mind, it is important to set the altar up (in this case, the bedroom and bed) to fit the mood and desires. Red, pink, and white candles, soft music, roses or other flowers, chocolates, indulge in wine and seafood or red meat (or whatever food helps you feel confident) – woo yourself and the universe! Bathe in an herbal bath and add some rose quartz to the sachet for some extra love energy.
