Savannah shines the light on Memento Mori Ink’s beloved blog reviewer, Darren “Ninetoes” Perdue.

Darren is a deranged pirate captain working to steer the ship of the Memento Mori Ink blog one dastardly review at a time. He primarily covers reviews of books, movies, tv shows, and video games. Trust me when I say if we need an article, Darren always comes in clutch. He’s personally covered my scratch-off movie articles on a couple occasions when illness got in my way. He’s also recently been named Memento Mori’s assistant editor for our Vellum Mortis line of flash fiction. Careful, he’s a stickler about that word count—1,000 words only peeps!

In all seriousness, Darren is a come hell or high water friend. His fifteen years of experience as a psychiatric technician on a children’s ward definitely prepared him for dealing with the diverse personalities at MMI, especially keeping our beloved Tommy Clark (aka BBoB) in line! He also runs his own blog, Ninetoeslovesbooks.wordpress.com where he drops his reviews and even highlights a book of the month to his readers. When I tell you he’s a huge supporter of the indie community, I mean it. The dude is 6’5” for crying out loud!

When he’s not roaming the wastelands of Fallout or the planes of Oblivion Remastered, you can find Darren with his nose in a book. He’s read forty books this year, with a goal of fifty-two. Way to be a goal crusher, Ninetoes!

And if you’re wondering why we call him Ninetoes… well do I have a story for you! Our beloved pirate captain lost it to a dremora in the planes of Oblivion during an epic sword fight. The toe fell into the lava, lost to our fearless captain forever!

Darren is also a master storyteller, and I keep pestering him to take up writing. If you ever get a voice memo, make sure there’s no children around because you’re in for a side-splitting, inappropriate story that just might make you laugh until you cry. Seriously, help me harass Darren to write more than just a thousand articles.
